Armory Park del Sol

Tucson, Arizona – Armory Park del Sol, a green community located in downtown Tucson, Arizona, combines the beauty of traditional Southern Arizona architecture with technologies such as solar panels and solar water heaters to save energy, cutting costs for homeowners.
Inspired by the historic Armory Park, all the homes in Armory Park del Sol feature eye catching arches and large porches which replicate the Southwestern feel of the nearby historic homes. The community offers several model homes to choose from with custom details available.
John Wesley Miller Companies, builder of Armory Park del Sol, is one of four builders selected by the Department of Energy to build net zero energy-use homes. These homes are important because on an annual basis, these homes put as much energy back into the energy grid as they take out. As of August 2008, there were two Net Zero Energy homes in Armory Park.
Amory Park del Sol has won many awards as both a green community and a community in general. Some of the awards include Southern Arizona Home Builder’s Association 2007 Home Builder of the Year, 2008 Energy Value Housing Award Winner and one of Tucson’s best places to live by Arizona Foothills Magazine.
Green Credentials:
John Wesley Miller is one of the select builders in the country to develop net zero homes. Non-net zero homes in Armory Park still reduce the energy use by over 50%.
