Three Canyons Green Community

Patagonia, Arizona –Three Canyons is Patagonia, Arizona’s newest green residential development. With over 1,700 acres and only 198 homes sites, 95% of Three Canyon’s land is protected, open space.
Right in the heart of Arizona’s Sky Islands, the area is known for wildlife, oaks, grasses and other plant life. Members of the community recognize the importance of health of the land; reseeding of native species and harvesting water are just a few of the steps this community takes toward preserving the land. Sonoita Creek Farms is an organic farm located in the Three Canyons community. The farm provides residents with organic, homegrown vegetables, fruits and other produce.
La Semilla is a community stewardship organization that was developed to harmonize the town ecologically, socially and spiritually. Within La Semilla, a land management program has been created and includes techniques such as water harvesting, planting and limited burning. La Semilla is also a member of the Tucson Audubon Society and the two are working together to designate Three Canyons as an Important Bird Area.
