Serenbe Sustainable Community

Palmetto, Georgia – Located just over 30 miles from the hustle and bustle of Atlanta, GA is the green community of Serenbe. Nestled in the Chattahoochee Hill Country, Serenbe provides its residents with a sense of community and high quality of life but at a low cost to the environment.
There is much more to Serenbe than just houses. The well-planned community is dotted with small shops and businesses such as art galleries, salons and other boutiques. The Serenbe Stable offers boarding, riding lessons and camps, plus the opportunity to see the community of Serenbe on horseback. The Blue Eyed Daisy Bakeshop is another Serenbe business that provides residents with bake goods and casual meals. Blue Eyed Daisy Bakeshop has also earned Silver LEED certification and is the smallest building in the nation to do so.
Energy efficient homes and water conservation aren’t the only qualities of a sustainable community. Serenbe takes it to the next level with its own organic farm. Serenbe Farms grows food for the community year round, and the produce grown at the farm is even sold locally to city residents. Many community events such as the weekly farmers’ market, camps for kids and even the seasonal ingredient cook-off takes place at Serenbe Farms.
All of the 220 homes in Serenbe will be certified EarthCraft Homes, but they will all be architecturally diverse to meet the needs and lifestyle of just about anyone. Within Serenbe, townhouses, cottages and even estates can be found throughout the community. Courtyards, detached garages, front porches and front yards are just of the few of the features that can be found with Serenbe homes. Take a look at Serenbe.
