Briar Chapel Green Community
Briar Chapel Chapel Hill, North Carolina – Located seven miles south of downtown Chapel Hill, Briar Chapel is a new green living community nestled in 1,580 acres of pristine woodlands in North Chatham County. Everything at Briar Chapel has been designed with one thing in mind, nature. From the 24 miles of planned biking and hiking trails and numerous community parks to the recreation areas and neighborhoods, there are endless ways to be immersed in the natural wonder found within the community. It’s a landscape of spontaneous discovery just waiting to be explored. All planned responsibly, staying true to the principles of preservation and conservation that will sustain Briar Chapel through time. Ongoing efforts are in place to protect the natural landscape which includes the preservation of approximately 900 acres of open space. The community has gone to great lengths to save thousands of trees and install advanced erosion control and storm water management systems to also help preserve the natural habitat and ensure water quality. Briar Chapel is the largest green community in the Triangle area that requires homebuilders to comply with the rigorous new home construction requirements of The Green Home Builders of the Triangle Program and Energy Star standards. Third party testing is conducted on all Briar Chapel homes, all contributing to a healthier living environment for residents and future generations.
