NorthWest Crossing Green Community

Bend, Oregon – Situated among the pines in Central Oregon is the green community of NorthWest Crossing. This award-winning, sustainable community offers its residents the convenience of neighborhood amenities such as nearby schools and restaurants without the cookie cutter look of planned communities.
The goal of NorthWest Crossing is to provide a neighborhood where residents can work, play and shop all within one area. The Neighborhood Center is where the community gathers to get work done, grab a coffee with a friend and visit the quaint shops such as Healthy Paws and Takara Home & Garden.
Varying in size from townhomes to single family houses and even multi-family houses, NorthWest Crossing homes are a diverse mix of architectural styles such as craftsman, prairie, colonial and tutor. All homes are designed and built with sustainable, luxury and comfort in mind.
NorthWest Crossing is unique in the fact the specific species of trees are purposely planted in certain districts. The purpose of the street tree guidelines are identity different neighborhoods within NorthWest Crossing. According to the street tree guidelines, there are currently 11 different species throughout the community.
This established green community in Oregon has been the recipient of plenty awards and has already received several for 2008. Just in June alone, NorthWest Crossing was named one of the Top Ten Cottage Neighborhoods in the Nation by Cottage Living magazine and the community also received an Award of Merit for Master-Planned Community of the year by the Pacific Coat Builder’s Conference.
