The question on everyone’s mind is how do I begin a ‘Green Eco’ path to make up for the years I took the environment for granted?
Here are 4 steps down the Green Eco path to a healthier lifestyle for your family and the environment:
1.) Start by discussing ‘Green’ issues with your family, friends and neighbors.
2.) Start or join a local ‘Environmental Group.’
3.) Research and create a ‘Plan’ to prepare yourself for the long haul in lifestyle changes.
4.) Take ‘Action’ today in both your personal life and community; become a squeaky wheel and make things happen.
A wonderful resource to help your community become more ‘Sustainable’ is the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s Green Communities program.

It would be wonderful to be the first person on the block to have solar power and batter backup. Showing neighbors that you are willing to take your home off the grid would be exciting. I hope to see more incentives from PG&E and maybe some leasing or renting arrangements soon. Keeping up with the Jones’ could have a positive impact if it meant offsetting power and going solar.

Scott,
It was nice to here the word “PG&E”, I have not heard that in years! We originally came from California, so that is very familiar.
Yes, I strongly feel the time is coming where people will want to have solar power, rain water conservation, wind power, you name it! We just have to do our part to keep the notion of Eco-communities in the forefront.
Thanks Scott!

Ecology in the community is essential. If we are going to educate the kids of tomorrow about the importance of conserving the environment, we need to surround them in it. From gardening at home to parks and the community spirit if everyone gets involved.

Being green has to be a way of life and be implemented as soon as possible into our children. There is so much to lead them away from being environmentally conscious, they need to have the processes instilled from as early as possible.

Being green is like dealing with my diabetes. You have to be conscious of it everyday and take the proper steps for a better life.
